How to Make Animated GIF on Android

Sharing funny videos via the mobile device is fun but certainly will require a large bandwidth. Instead, you can share a light animation in the form of GIF files. GIFDroid for Android app will help you make the animation you want.

With GIFDroid for Android, you can create a new animation or take away from existing video and make it an animated GIF. The size of the animation file is small enough so that you can send to your friends quickly.

The first step you need to do is installing GIFDroid from Android Market, and then run the application. Thereafter follow the following steps:

  • Choose the Select Video or Record Video button. If you choose Select Video then the gallery to select the video you want is opened.

  • Select the video you meant to be used as animated GIF. You can slide the gray bar at the beginning and the end to set the video section. If you wish, you can also select the Edit GIF Preferences if you want to set the FPS, give pause between the frames and set the size of the resulting GIF file.

  • Select frames from a video that you will use. This is the proper way to dispose of sections as well as minimize file size of animations.

  • For the final stage, tap on 'Create GIF' in the lower right corner.

  • Preview and share animated GIF you just created. You can rename, create a new one or delete the animation you just created.
